The task
6130 buildings, 1592 schools, and 750 building inspections per month. That was the scale of the project undertaken by Hampton Jones for the National Schools Survey on behalf of the Ministry of Education.
Our thinking
Over 8-months, our surveyors completed this monumental task ahead of deadline. But it needed more than just smart minds and an experienced eye. To complete the project, we developed a unique database tool in conjunction with our IT consultants – which subsequently won a major international Microsoft award for innovation.
The result
Our involvement in the project led to significant time savings for our client (8 months instead of the scheduled 12 months). And a powerful boost for the client in helping to achieve their strategic objectives as part of their School Property Strategy 2011-2021.
