Green Star Performance is the new rating tool from the NZGBC that allows building owners to measure and improve their buildings’ operational impacts.
The built environment uses 40% of the world’s energy and emits 30% of the world’s carbon footprint. Since the majority of the built environment is made up of existing buildings; it makes sense to place our focus for improvement here. That’s why Green Star Performance is great; it allows building owners, operators and occupants to collaborate and contribute towards better environmental outcomes, which in turn creates better buildings for better lives.
