Dan Wu is a Quantity Surveyor, based in our North Shore office. Originally from China, Dan has been with the Hampton Jones team for 5 years.
Our Marketing Manager, Margaret Browne recently spoke with Dan and asked him a few questions:
How many years have you been quantity surveying?
15 years.
What do you do during a typical day?
I play with numbers!
What do you like most about what you do?
It’s a great feeling to get something correct and provide the right solution for our clients.
What’s the hardest part of your job?
An inevitable part of the job is sometimes having cost dispute with contractors on projects.
What do you like most about working for Hampton Jones?
I really appreciate the team culture and the great relationship I have with my colleagues.
What project would you consider your most significant career accomplishment to date?
The recent bank funding projects I have completed and am still working on.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I really enjoy playing with Lego with my son.
