Hampton Jones successfully completed external and internal condition surveys of school buildings at Hutt International Boys School. This included assessing the level of planned maintenance required for each building and providing budget costs for a period of ten years; including overall costs per building, per year, and in total.
Our client was presented with a fully costed planned maintenance schedule, projected over the next ten years. This has given them a clear understanding of the expected maintenance costs, which ensures future budget clarity and sustainability.
This project was challenging as each building within the school was of a different age, style, construction, size and design; this required bespoke investigations into the individual rooms and elevations. Survey Data was then transferred across to a database and categorised into a priority scale. Budget costings were identified and applied to each individual item on an elemental, yearly, building and overall basis.
We have recommended investigation works where defects have been noted and planned maintenance works to prevent buildings falling into disrepair. Health and safety issues have been highlighted to ensure swift remediation; especially where they may require urgent attention and funds.
