Q&A with Associate Director & Senior Quantity Manager Jeremy Blake
Jeremy Blake is Hampton Jones’ Associate Director, Senior Quantity Manager and is based in our recently opened North Shore office.
Jeremy has been with the company for 6 years but has been quantity surveying for over 20 years; initially in the UK before moving to New Zealand with his family in 2010. The Blake family have also recently become proud kiwis having gained their New Zealand citizenship this year. When Jeremy isn’t quantity surveying he can be found working on his lifestyle block, just north of Auckland.
Our Associate Director and Marketing Manager, Margaret Browne recently sat down with Jeremy to ask him a few questions:
What do you like most about what you do? I really enjoy the variety of work and the variety of clients I have the opportunity to work with. I also like the mix of being out on site and in the office.
What’s the hardest part of your job? Juggling priorities!
What do you like most about working for Hampton Jones? It’s an open, family friendly company, and there’s a willingness to try and embrace new work lines.
What’s your favourite project that you’ve worked on? I’ve really enjoyed the work we’ve done with Housing New Zealand; the wide variety of contractors involved, differing construction methods, and most importantly, building quality homes for people who need them.
