Innovative design completed for 'The Miller' apartment building
Our Architectural team have recently completed the design of the stylish, innovative and sustainably-focused ‘The Miller’ apartment building in Auckland’s Onehunga.
The medium-rise structure is innovative both in its timber construction methodology and in Hampton Jones’s use of C4R (Collaboration for Revit) technology.
Hampton Jones is one of the first practices in New Zealand to fully implement BIM capabilities utilising C4R with prefabricated design. Adopting this integrated design approach allows the team, contractors and main suppliers to actively participate in the solution, working together to create a fully collaborative BIM (Building Information Modelling) model.

All design information is managed by Hampton Jones in the C4R platform (accessible 24/7) which allows for a total integration of services and provides the client and team with immediate updates, clash detection and change notification online in real-time.
This design methodology has avoided numerous design pitfalls and has encouraged collaboration and innovation to the benefit of the project.
